Just before my return to France, my Indian colleagues asked me what was the place in India that I most love. It's very difficult to select one and only one. And also unfair for many. I will then try to select 10 - and even - to consolidate a few. The list is not necessarily ordered (what- that ). I hope it will serve has some suggestions for ideas of destinations. And it does not prevent you from going to the Taj Mahal ...
The favorites:
- Delhi. Old Delhi . New Delhi . Mehrauli. Delhi and its monuments, its old town, the vestiges of the past, its culture, its neighborhoods, and its evolution.
 - The Madhya Pradesh. Condition unknown to tourists (good?). A East , Khajurao . In the center Orchha. A Western , Dhar, Mandu and Maheswar . One of my favorites. The art, culture, heritage, and important advantage authenticity.
 - Fathepur Sikri. On both sides! The village and the mosque. Then again the village.
 - The Kerala Backwaters and .
 - Varanasi (Benares ). And say that I asked myself for 3 years if there had go?

Essentials
- The Ladakh. Leh and its surroundings. Huge landscapes, grandiose and minerals. A blue sky arrogant. A religion very different from what one believes. The isolation of the world. A world apart.
 - Down the Ganges north of Rishikesh . It should be camping on one of the silver sand beaches along the holy river. Difficult to guess these places it will become a few tens of kilometers below.
 - The animal reserves ( Corbett, Sariska , Ranthambore , Keoladeo Ghana has Bharatpur ,...). Is a face of India that we do not know. Nature, fauna and flora. Felines, cervids, reptiles and birds. It was discovered.
 - The Rajasthan. On the one hand, the area Jaisalmer, Johdpur the Thar desert of . And the Mountain region Arawali , Udaipur and Kumbalgarh . And then of course Jaipur. Prevoir two weeks ...
 - The Tamil Nadu . Its temples, beaches, cuisine, its atmosphere. Go Tranquebar. Walk to the end of the pier. Close your eyes. Play sea

Here's a list of places I have not seen, we say lack of time. Maybe excuses to go back one day?
- Bombay, caves of Ajanta Ellora and ,
 - The North East, not tea. Assam and Dardjeling .
 - Bangalore. I do not think there is nothing very Tourist over there. But I never went . I really want to go. To see. Just once.
 - Goa. For the holidays.
 - Orissa. For its culture. To see the country of people I encounter. Do not you ever did? To meet people and wanting to see the country or they come (and they were talking about you?)
